Grand Rapids Interior Designer Competes in HGTV’s Design Star 2013

Grand Rapids interior designer, Tylor Devereaux, beat thousands of contestants to become 1 of 10 finalists on HGTV’s Design Star 2013. Tylor has been designing for Woodways for years and opened his own design firm in 2004. His portfolio on the show features some of his best work throughout Michigan, including a display at our Grand Rapids showroom (photo #13). Show Tylor our support from Michigan, and be sure to vote him for fan favorite before the show begins!

The show aires June 9th, and the winner receives their own show on HGTV following the reality show competition. Here’s a sneak peak of what’s to come in season 8:

 

Tylor Devereaux

Age: 42

Current City: Grand Rapids, MI

Tylor, whose first career choice was to be an elementary school teacher, says he later decided to study his hobby of home decorating full-time. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in interior design with a minor in industrial engineering from Central Michigan University, he was soon working with top designers in the Midwest. Tylor, who opened his own design firm in 2004, has designed spaces from small- to large-scale homes, penthouse condos, restaurants and hotels. He lives with his partner of 11 years and his 16-year-old son.
